Technical Collaboration Between GII and NGTC
Gemmological Institute of India, Mumbai and National Gem Testing Center, China has entered an historical agreement between them for development and promotion of various technical and trade related aspects connected to Diamond Industry which will be of mutual benefit to both the countries.
GII is the most progressive and trusted institute in India with a rock solid credibility which is proving enough for diamond graders to use GII’s diamond grading reports as bench marks.
Education at GII
In the year 1971, for the first time, the seed of Gemmology was sown in the country by the Gemmological Institute of India and today GII is proud to state that the courses offered by the institute are at par with any such courses offered elsewhere in the world.
Diamond Detection Resource Center (DDRC)
The Diamond Detection Resource Center (DDRC) is a shining example of how the GII has advanced with the times, keeping pace with contemporary technological developments and the challenges they have raised for the industry. It is a dedicated facility for certification of diamonds and detection of synthetic stones or simulants, as well as dissemination of information related to synthetic diamonds.
Onsite Testing (Mobile Lab)
GII conducts ON-SITE jewellery grading for interested clients, provided the minimum criteria is fulfilled.
